Troubleshooting this TutorialSometimes, even though you try hard to understand the information in a tutorial, things don't work out quite like you want it to. This page is here to help you resolve any problems you might be having with the Managing Content tutorial. The Common Mistakes section describes common problems that people have when doing the things in this tutorial, and how to resolve them. The Frequently Asked Questions section describes questions that people have that aren't related to mistakes, but rather, trying to understand the stuff better or exploring how it can be used. If your problem or concern isn't addressed here, feel free to add a comment below, so that I know where you're having trouble. I like to keep these pages fairly clean, so I may remove comments that I felt like have been addressed. If I remove your comment and you don't feel like the problem has been fixed, repost the question and we'll take another look at it. If a tutorial has a mistake in it, I will fix the mistake and reply to the comment with a brief explanation. However, after a couple of weeks I'll likely go back and remove the original comment as well as my reply, because, hopefully, the problem will have been fixed, and it won't be a concern any more. |

hi Guys,
i have a problem with the Content.
In my Game1 Class i can use the content variable to simply load content and it works pretty well.
But i'm not able to get access to the Content in classes that i created by myself.
Can you explain me how i can make the content accessible to classes that i created or added to my project so i can simply type
Texture2D myTex = Content.Load<…>…..; in other classes than Game1.cs?
That would really help me out of hell.
Because at the moment i pass each texture i need in other classes to, for example define a character, by passing them with parameters with the constructor
thanks for help
Marty

OK, it should be fixed now. Thanks for letting me know!
Whenever I try to debug the program with anything added to content, I get this error:
Severity Code Description Project File Line Suppression State Suppression State
Error Error loading pipeline assembly "C:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\.NETFramework\v4.0\Microsoft.Build.Framework.dll". WindowsGame1
I'm using Visual Studio 2019, but I've gotten XNA Game Studio 4.0 that should've worked.
How can I fix this?
Nevermind, I managed to fix it. Opened WindowsGame1Content Properties and added C:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\.NETFramework\v4.0\ to paths.
Nope, didn't fix it, I just forgot to add something to content. Sorry for the confusion.
