Software

This page is dedicated to various software projects that are free for download. They are completely free for anyone to use, as long as they abide by the End User's License Agreement below. It's the kind of license agreement that you would expect for this, no big surprises, but go ahead and read through it anyway….

These products are provided AS IS. There is no promise that they will even work, or behave like expected. (They probably will though.) You may use these products in any way you would like with two exceptions. First, you may not sell it for profit or any other personal gain. Second, you may not package it with other software without prior written consent from me. Also, you may not do anything that indicates or gives the impression that you created these products, and where necessary, indicate that they were created by me, and where people can go to get their own copy. Basically, don't do anything stupid and you'll be OK.

If I need to, I will prosecute for copyright violations and other mis-uses of these products.

Projects

Network Clipboard

The Network Clipboard is a Java (that means cross platform!) program that lets you basically share a clipboard between multiple users. I've used it in various situations, like teaching and also group work projects. The latest version (1.4) has some big bugs that still need to be worked out, but it's coming along nicely. Try version 1.2, which is the latest stable version, if you want something that behaves well.

3D Model Normal Editor

I've searched high and low for a program that can edit the normals of an object. The program that I normally use for modelling, Wings3D, does not support editing the normals of models. There has been more than once that I've really wanted/needed this and I can't do it. Hunting through a gigantic file for the data that I want to edit is useless. Some expensive editors, like 3D Studio Max allows it, I think, but I don't have $4000 for it. So I'm planning on making a normal editor that is free. Information can be found in the projects page below:
