Well, thought I would post this here, seems as good a place as any. So, I do LiteCoin mining on my main rig, and I started hearing a little chirping around my desk today. Almost sounded like water dripping at one point. Also, I later noticed my mining rate had dropped considerably. Long story short, I went to manually adjust my video card fan speed to maximum to see if that would help (video card was overheating) and discovered the fan on the card has gone out. It's still starting randomly, very slowly and the shutting down - hence the chirping noise. At any rate, with little to no cooling the card is slowly but surely burning itself out. So, my goal for the next little bit it to either get a new card (financially a bad move at this point since we just got a new car and we're still broke from that) or to somehow repair the video card. Just thought I'd pass this along in case I go missing for a couple days… as I may have no video. Anywho's, have a great day and see you all soon!
