So in case you don't know me, I've been part of this community since March 2012, Rb has been very helpful and I'm sure without him I wouldn't be where I am today, I've had a very large game in the back of my mind since a few years ago and It is finally coming into the real world, little by little. When I first started Game Development, My brother (who knows programming as well but doesn't do game development that much) told me that he thought it would be atleast 5 years before I released a game, I wanted to prove him wrong and I have made a few games since then but never anything I could say I would want to sell. So it turns out he was right, 2014, Last year, I decided that "Future Game" would be beginning to form into a playable game in 3 years time, Now, 2015 and I am glad to say that It is going as expected and My new goal is to have something playable by Spring 2016, and if I make that goal then a actual release of my game would probably be in 2017, which is exactly 5 years since I started game developing in total!!!
If you want to know about "Future Game" I am always willing to share information about it in the chat room! or send me a private message here.
As far as books go, I never actually finished my first book (see current books), and I know I could skim through it pretty fast, but this summer and last summer I was very busy building my brothers house next door, (They should be moved in within two months, very exciting!)
but I did get a book in september that had an overview on game creating in general with everything from sound to copyrights, I skimmed through that in a day.. Very interesting and if I need any information ill know where to go.
Game Design Essentials
My Current goal is to create small games in unity each focusing on a different aspect of "Future Game" that I will eventually need to know, So that every couple of months I can combine them together to get a even more playable version of the game, this will also allow me (and other users) to play concept designs long before a real Alpha is released.
Ill try to keep you guys updated!
