We've now got only four days left before the competition starts. Are any of you doing any sort of planning, designing, or preparation in advance of the competition?
Last week, I started on some user interface framework code, and I've also been trying to figure out the details of how I'm going to do my game. I want to do a twist on Space Invaders, and not just do the basic game, but I'll be honest, I'm not sure that I have a good path forward. If I can't figure things out in the next four days, I'll probably drop back and just do the basic Space Invaders clone. (Both of these things (non-game specific code and game design/planning) are allowed in advance, according to the official rules.)
What kinds of things are you doing before the competition starts? Any planning or design? Relaxing and getting some Assassin's Creed 3 in before time becomes more scarce during the upcoming month?
