Salutations fellow coders!
Asteroids will be coming to a close with the end of January, and in thinking about the future I'd like to go ahead and get a plan started on the next game challenge. At this point, all we need to do is decide what the project will be. I was thinking of something along the lines of a side scrolling Mario rip off and went back to re-read the suggestions we had last time. After catching up on things, I've decided that all of the suggestions were actually a great follow up for the Asteroids clone. Here's a list of the previous submissions for consideration, and I'd love to hear any additional ideas you may have.

Tower Defence?

I just finished my group project, a floating tower defence game. Turned out alight but quite rouge around the edges. Would be fun to see how other people decided to structure it :)

PiscesMike, I really want to help contribute to one of these. Maybe even the Asteroids clone that you're currently doing. To do that, the code probably has to be under version control somewhere/somehow. I'm still finishing up my Mercurial tutorials. I wanted to finish it a couple of weeks ago, but I think I should be able to this weekend.

But as far as those games go, if I'm helping, I really don't care which one you pick. Even Tower Defense would be cool.

I somehow missed your response completely until today, RB. That makes me feel sad 8*(

Some of the things with the Asteroids clone have worked out, some other things, well, are still being worked on.

That being said, you're right, I need to get things up to par with using version control. Excellent job on the tutorials, btw. I started on them but hadn't gotten too far yet. That is top on my priority list after sweating over the last 2 days to be done with Asteroids.

As far as contributing, you are a constant help with the tutorials you've already made available, your comments and suggestions, and your dedication to making things easier for us all.
