As a complete rookie I love your tutorials, but I really wish you'd change the website background color to a shade of white. Light-on-dark is very difficult to read if you have optical defects, like astigmatism, and your eyes get really tired really quickly. After 1-2 hours of reading your awesome tutorials I can barely make out the words. :(

Well, Derpycorn (love the user name, by the way…) you're in luck. When my book is done (here in a couple of weeks) I plan on spending more time updating this site. One big thing I'm planning on doing is adding a set of tutorials that put everything together to make a complete game from scratch. But probably at the same time as that, I'm going to be working on updating the visual appearance of this site.
I've had several people make comments to me that go very much along the same lines of what you're saying. (Interestingly, I've also had one person say they like this way better than black on white. If I could make a way to choose between multiple themes, I'd do that, but since it's Wikidot, I really don't think I've got that kind of power. So black on white it is.)
Along with making it a black on white theme instead of this white on black theme, I also am working to just generally clean up the page in general. Again, I don't have complete control over this kind of thing, since Wikidot chooses what goes where, for the most part, but I think I can use CSS to de-emphasize some of the clutter and clean things up.
Anyway, the bottom line is, stick with me for a few more weeks, and I think you'll like the changes that are coming!
