It's time for Competition #15!
Goal: The goal is nominally to make a complete game during the time period. "Complete" is tough to define, but it likely involves:
- Sharing what you make somehow.
- Legally licensed assets.
- Relatively bug-free.
- An emphasis on a working game, rather than conceptual work. "Playable" is the goal.
Adapt this goal as necessary to suit your situation.
Time Period: This competition will run from 3 September 2021 (Friday) at 6 PM local time until 6 September 2021 (Monday) at 11:59 PM local time. This time was chosen because it aligns with Labor Day weekend in the USA, and gets at least some people an extra day beyond the normal weekend to work on their game.
The Theme: We do not currently have a theme for this competition, other than "make a 'complete' game and make it available somehow, somewhere." (Unless people really want a theme. We can pick something.)
Technology and Tools: There are no limitations for technologies or tools. Use what works for you.
Art: Because the goal is a complete game, assets should be self-made or correctly licensed. (There are plenty of free assets, and also plenty that only require attribution. As long as you follow the license rules, it doesn't matter where they come from.)
Teams: This jam/competition is "individual by default." Unlike a collab, we aren't automatically all working together. However, if you want to form a team with others here in the forum, in the Discord server, or elsewhere, that is totally welcome. There are no limits on team sizes.
Rewards: Your reward will be the experience and the game you make.
