Greetings and salutations all!
Last couple of competitions (both #13 and #14) seemed to go nowhere fast, but I'm about ready to give it another shot. So in keeping with the yearly challenge wheel RBWhitaker so thoughtfully put together for us back in '17 I propose a 100 day game programming competition starting Friday, May 28th and running until Sunday, September 5, 2021:
If anyone cares to join in on the competition, I'd love to see our little community become more active like it has been in the past. Optionally, this schedule has been designed so you can do a 30 day competition, or two 30 day ones with a 30ish day break in between. The choice is completely up to you. Personally I'm going for the full 100 day challenge so maybe this one can have a little polish. All truths on the table though, it will probably take me that long to make up my mind what I want to do, lol.
All that being said, I also want to stress the point that this doesn't necessarily have to be a 'competition'. If you are new to programming or these competitions feel free to form a group where you can participate as a team. Likewise, if you don't want to tackle it alone and just want to join someones else's entry or group, make a post saying you're looking for a such and hopefully we can get you together with someone or a group of someones with more experience.
Remember, the point of these collaborations and competitions are to grow and learn. Never hesitate to ask questions or ask for help brainstorming. While we may not be able to write your game for you, there are some great people and experience here and we're always happy to lend a hand where needed.
Sign up for the competition, hope to see you all there: http://rbwhitaker.wikidot.com/forum/t-14101744/sign-up-list-for-competition-14-round-2
