Well, it's that time of the year again, when we get to start talking about when the best time for Collab #4 is!
We've been aiming for a 1-month competition every 3 months (2 months off, one month on) and the last one was a little bit late. I think our semi-official schedule would put the next month-long competition in November. It would be nice if we could do the collab before then, but of course, we're already almost to October, so we'd probably be talking a late Saturday in October.
That leaves us with the 17th, the 24th, or the 31st.
I'd suggest we not do the 31st. For one, it's Halloween in the USA (not sure how widely celebrated that particular holiday is) and people might be doing other things that day. Two, even without that being a problem, that weekend is probably actually the weekend we'd maybe start the competition. So if we want to do the competition "on time" (for whatever that's worth) then we should get the collab in before then.
Does anybody have any preference between the 17th and the 24th? We could do the 10th, maybe, if we can get on the planning quickly. So if that's the only time that works, then say something now! Alternatively, while I've suggested we don't do the 31st, with the last competition coming a bit late, I think I could be talked into doing the the collab on the 31st and doing the competition a week later. There might actually be something fun about doing a Halloween themed collab on the 31st itself. I'm personally just fine with it, because I don't have any kids yet, but I can almost guarantee it will mess up somebody's schedule. (Not that we couldn't do a Halloween themed collab the week before.)
We can get into theme, tools, and a signup list a bit later. We just need to start thinking about dates right away.
