hello i did ur tutorial on animation using sprite sheets alouth u called them something else.
well what i want to know is does texture/sprite need to be a specific width and height.
i get your smiley char animating just fine but when i try using one of mine well i either get parts of the image to scroll or nothing.
animation is causing me quite the headache :)
any help would be great plus ill stare at the animation class longer.

No, the texture does not need to be a specific size, and neither do each of the individual sprites, although each of the individual sprites should be the same size, or else things will get really complicated. Also, if your sprite isn't placed in the same spot, relative to the frame, the sprite will wiggle around. Also, you want to make sure you give the AnimatedSprite class the correct numbers for rows and columns in the sprite sheet.
