I am attempting to get my version into a state that can be released so people can play it and the next step will be A.I., So that I can clearly state what I did/didn't do during the competition.. At the moment of this post that leaves about 3 things.
1. Get some type of GUI in.. So people can see when they are hit, and can restart the game with a push of a button.
2. Build an arena and get a moving camera for people to play on.
3. Release a version for all to see and play.

It's not that big of a deal. I'm updating my C# Player's Guide to the 2nd Edition. I want to have it ready to go when Visual Studio 2015 comes out. They've got a release candidate out already (almost 3 weeks ago) so we're anywhere from hours to weeks away from its release. I'm almost done with it. There were some other things I was wanting to do, but decided to just have them wait until the 3rd Edition. I'm just hoping I can finish up the loose ends by Thursday night. Or earlier if possible.

So yeah… no big surprises, and you really didn't miss much.

I'm actually writing up and preparing to post the first details about my game right now. But hey, I didn't realize you were so close to finishing up your new book! Have you said what it's about already and I missed it, or is it a surprise?

Hi guys! Here it is, Monday before the competition starts. Is anybody doing anything cool to get ready for it? Any planning or design? Any rulebreakers getting an early start?

As for me, I'm doing everything I can to get my book ready to launch at the push of a button. (Almost, but not quite literally.) I've still got a lot to do, but I made good progress yesterday. I'm hoping it doesn't impact me during the competition. I want to be doing game dev then….

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this thing getting started!
