I like this Idea because it has a good AI challenge for me.

We also suggested Breakout, you use a paddle to keep a ball inside the ring while it hits and breaks walls/blocks.

We came up with a couple of options in the chat room. I'll post the two ideas as separate posts so that people can comment on them individually.

OK, guys. It's time to start coming up with some game ideas for us to work on in Collab #2.

It's really a tight time frame (8 hours/1 day) so I'll say what I've said in the past and push us towards making a clone of a DOS game, an arcade game, or a casual game.

It's a clone of a DOS game called Blockade. It's basically multiplayer Snake, and is also very similar to some Tron lightcycle games that I've seen. (Though I don't remember us getting any music in there. Don't know where that came from…)

In the last collab, we had also talked about cloning Asteroids and Thrust. I'm open to any suggestions. I sorta picked the game last time, so it's probably somebody else's turn this time.

Here's another set of games that me and some friends made back in college in a similar time frame, though we were all co-located for that. We won't have that opportunity for this collab. Being co-located makes a big difference, so I think we should expect perhaps a little less from our work than that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omAcgnZdTyE.
